All about little old me

My photo
Ilminster, Somerset, United Kingdom
43 years old, one wonderful daughter and husband. I love craft, card making, scrapbooking, jewellery making, altered art. I been crafting for about 8 years or so and moving house 6 years ago allowed me the space of my own craftroom. (Much to the annoyance of my husband!)

Loving the Digi images

This card is for a couple of challenges as I've not entered anything for ages so I thought I'd make the effort and use this beautiful digi image from Saturated Canary. I've fallen in love with these pretty images from this talented artist after seeing the rubber version at funky kits but I love the instantness (not really sure if that's a word?) of digi images and the ability to alter the size to what I want. I used my basis grey papers and made my flowers from a spellbinder die, cut and rolled into shape and sprayed with some glitter spray. The Swirl die is a sizzix 12" die cut down.

I'm just enjoying a peaceful day at home doing some crafting whilst my husband is working. Also waiting for an email from my daughter in Italy to tell me about her first full week in her new job.
Have a lovely weekend.

Just stamping for a change

Well I thought I'd go back to where I started with my stamping and they fit just right for the following challenge.

I used some shiny card and stamped using two stamps from graphicus slightly off centre just cos I like the effect. Sometimes it's nice not to add so much to cards and I really like the finished result.

Teddy's bears picnic

This card is for Allsorts challenge ' Teddy's bear picnic' The image is from Teddybo and once you start with these digi images you will not be able to stop yourself buying more cos they are just wonderful with something for every occassion. I've used some vellum I've had in my stash for ages and the colours were just prefect for this card. Ribbon from my stash and I've used a border punch to create the lacy edge. The images is coloured with copics and promarkers.

The Easter bunny is coming soon!

I know I couldn't resist this image from TebbyBo, I've made so many Easter cards I better hurry up and post them to the people or Easter will be over before you can blink. Anyho this card is for 4 challenges:

I've used a digi image from TebbyBo coloured with copics and promarkers. The papers are basic grey 'gypsy' nearly the end of a much loved 6x6 pad. The 'egg' shape is cut with a nestie and the papers edges inked with distress inks. Ribbon and buttons from my stash.

Going for five challenges

Now I started out with one image, coloured it made a gatefold card, chose the papers matted them stuck them to the card front, then realised that with the image I had covered most of the paper so had to think again. Anyway I'm pleased with the result, I haven't inked this Gorjuss girl up in quite a while so I hope she fits the bill for all the challenges I'm entering this card in?

Allsorts - Pink and Brown
Creative card crew - Punch it
Papertake weekly - Pretty pink
Quixotic - Ink all an old stamp
Crafty creations - Valentines or Love

The papers are from Basic grey - bittersweet, 2 x flower punches, flatback pearls, Gorjuss girl - Sent with love, Sentiment - popcorn bear set, Nesties - labels 8.

1 for 3 challenges

This one is for 3 Challenges, it was going to be 4 but I missed the deadline on for All that Scraps sketch challenge this week. So this is for Cupcake crafts red & green, Allsorts, buttons and Cute Card Thursday, Snips, snails & Puppy dog tails ( card for a younger boy) I've used Doodlebug papers from a couple Christmasses ago with buttons, sequins, brads and cardstock stickers all also from doodlebug. The image is from All that scraps December digi's coloured with copics and sakura graze and stardust pens then sprinkled with glitter whilst still wet. You can't see the glitter that well in the picture but it's there!

I'm off out with my parents to do a little Christmas shopping later on, deep joy, hate it, not my parents just the Christmas shopping bit! Have a wicked Wednesday xxx

New Christmas gnome.

I eventally got round to colouring in my new Christmas Gnome stamp from Whiff of Joy which I'd received last week. I made this card for two challenges, a sketch from Create4Fun and a Christmas carol or song title from Allsorts (clever one i think?) So the Christmas song is
Oh Christmas tree, but you can't see that on the text because of the bling cardstock I wrote it onto, D'oh! but that's what it says! I've coloured with copics and the papers are from My minds eye wonderful winter glittered 12x12 pad. Lots of ribbon, buttons and some little bells to finish.
