All about little old me

43 years old, one wonderful daughter and husband. I love craft, card making, scrapbooking, jewellery making, altered art. I been crafting for about 8 years or so and moving house 6 years ago allowed me the space of my own craftroom. (Much to the annoyance of my husband!)

what's on your workdesk? Yes I know it's Thursday whoops!!

Yes I know it's Thursday but I just didn't get the time yesterday to upload my pictures of my desk! This is the first day I've had to myself without having to run off and do something from someone else in months, so I'm being selfish today and doing what I want, when I want, how I want, so there!!!! Right that's my rant over and done with now down to some crafty business.
Here's a pic heavy post of my latest crafty buys and it's more fabric and some ribbon, not quite sure what I'm going to make with it but when I spotted it on Ebay I just had to have it.

Now from the bottom left the pink birdy fabric is a tilda from HERE, the Russian doll and red check are from HERE and pink and brown fabrics in the centre and pink and green and calico on the right are from HERE. The 2 reels of ribbon are from a gift shop in my town and I will be going back for more soon as they are so pretty and I must have them??!! I want to make a cover for my mobile phone and camera and have been hunting the net to find a pattern that my unskilled sewing can cope with? So if you know of somewhere please point me in the right direction please.
Meanwhile I have been making more needlecraft bits and bobs and die cutting fabric and felt to make embellishments I have posted these before but am toying with the idea of putting them on to Ebay to sell?

What do you think? Would you buy these do add to your projects? They are 5cm across at the width part and I think they are quite cute. Here's some close-ups.

Next is a flower die cut from tilda fabric and felt stitched together with a button, it's 9.5cm across.

Lastly here's the card I've made for my Husband for Valentine's day, It's not all pink and red and girly but I like it and hopefully so will he? Not that we are the romantic types really but I think it's nice to show someone how much you love them.

Hope you have a good day, I'm off to make another cup of tea and then do some blog hopping to see what everyone else has been up to.

  3. Aha - another fabric fiend!! Love that bird house print, really nice. And your felt hearts and flowers are gorgeous too. Have a go at selling them, what have you got to lose? I don't sell online (yet) but do quite a few craft fairs.

  7. Your card for your DH is so lovely. He will love it for sure!

Your fabric flowers look great. Do you fuse the fabric to the felt before you cut them?

    1. Hi,
No I cut them all out individually and then glue together with fabric glue or pinflair glue (actually the pinflair is much better than the fabric glue)
