Feeling creative.
I used a Penny Black stamped image with papers from my stash can't remember where from? Sanded and inked the edges of the papers and layered up. Freebie flowers from a magazine I bought recently and Bob's your Uncle!

Colour create challenge week 13

This is a first for me so hope it's ok and it works so here goes....
I thought I'd have a go at this challenge as men's cards are so difficult some times and Father's day is just a few weeks away. This'll be great for my Dad, a classic car for a classic man.
Anyway I made it with some papers from my stash I know they were a free gift from Craftwork cards when I was a member of their club. I sanded the edges to give an aged look and inked some to enhance it. The stamped image is from a set from Crafters companion.
Now I've got to work out how to link the post to the colour create challenge site. My head hurts at this bit............

Check out my gardening skills?????!!!!!
Well I've grown tomatoes plants before, but last year was a disaster because of the weather, so this year I'm trying again. I've bought 3 grow bags and set up in the sunniest spot in my garden under the kitchen window. Keep your fingers crossed for me and pray for good weather this summer. Also planted some strawberry plants in a hanging basket wonder how'll they'll do?

Also I took some photo's of the very pretty pink flowers that have just started to bloom in one of the pots in my garden.

End of a very stressful day
What a day, work has been really busy and the place was just full of problems all day long. Needed chocolate and wine to wind down after such a horrid day.
Had a great evening out last night, went to the pictures with my husband and watched 'The boat that rocked' it was bloody brillant, full of wicked 60's music and lots of laughs. Check it out it's a real feel good film.
Anyway lets hope tomorrow it far better than today it can't be much worse???

Just chilling out.
I've got the house to myself and I've been pottering about, done a bit of crafting bit more scrapbooking again. Done some cooking, made some rock cakes which are very tasty even if I do say it myself. Now listening to some music .
Asher's gone back to Uni, the house seems so quiet without her about now. Miss her already, had a little tear as her train went away from the station on Sunday evening. I'm a soft git I know but it's no easier her being away than the first time she left for Uni! Anyhow got plenty to keep me busy here, Dave, home and work and some time for myself in their somewhere.

Back to the scrapbooking

It was about time I did some scrapbooking again, so I used some recent photo's of the husband taken in Lyme Regis at the beginning of January. I really love Basic grey papers so the colours of the photo matched the those papers so well I had to use my favourite stuff that I usually just take out and look at. ( If you're a crafter you'll understand the need to have pretty things like paper but not actually use them!) I've done some journalling under the hinged part which describes what happened on the day, I was pleased with the results. The rest of the scrapbook pages are ones which I have done over several years but are my favourites for different reasons, usually to do with the people in them or the memoirs they evoke.

At last some time off.
After 7 days straight at work I've got some time off. It's been madness at work, we've been preparing for a visit, which meant that we had to put in some serious hours, 15 on Monday for a start! Now I'm very tired and need some time at home to catch up on all the things I've had no time or energy to do over the last week.
Think I'll spend some time with my Daughter and Hubby and make the most of the good weather we've been having.
