I'm such a proud Mum today, my daughter has secured her work placement for her third year at uni. Onwards and upwards for my girl. Watch out all you top designers out there!

Tried of driving.
I've got home from work nice and early today but I did leave home at 5.30am this morning! I managed to get myself voted as the regional rep for Grass roots for my company, so as part of my new role (which is over and above my normal remit at work!) I have to go to divisional meetings. So at stupid O'clock this morning I set off to Eastleigh in Hants for a 9am start.
I'm a bit of a one for being on time so I was ridulously early arriving at 8am. I was a bit nervous because the Director of our division was chairing the meeting and having met him before he wasn't very pleasant but I'm glad to say that my opinion of him has altered now. I did feel uncomfortable cos I was in his direction line of eye contract which he held with me mostly ( or at least it felt like it) through most of meeting! Well it wasn't as painful as I thought and I've met some really great people from around my division. My company never ceases to amaze me when it comes to the wonderful diversity of personalities that it employs and where ever I've been around the country in my 9 years of employment nearly everyone I've met has made me feel welcome and at ease. This is not an advert for employment I might add!
So after 4 or so hours of driving I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening at home with my better half. But if he's watching the footie on the telly I might venue into my craftroom and get creative, which is always a good way to unwind from a busy day. I have to put my recruitment head on tomorrow and find some new weekend staff for my team, looking forward to that challenge.

Using up the bits and bobs.
My lack of money to buy craft stuff at the moment has made me use up all the scraps of paper and card which I love to save as any crafter will understand. So when my other half went out to watch the local footie, I decided to have a crafting section. And here's the picture of what I created from the scraps, some ATC's.
Hooray for Saturday!!
Thank goodness it's Saturday at long last, it's a beautiful day and I'm ready to take on the world today.
I've been up since 5.45am this morning we've already been into Yeovil and bought some paint to decorate the feature wall in the living room. I managed to persuade him to have the colour which i've been longing for, it's A nice deep sage green called 'Bespoke' which I except my daughter will hate?
I'm in the middle of baking a cake for him to take to work for his birthday on Monday.
One cake baked and ready to eat, yum yum fruit cake and another the same for himself and his work lot.
It won't stay like that for long!

It's nearly the weekend...

Just a few pieces I've created.... Still trying to get the hang of this blog thing, so if it's a bit messy then sorry. The Tin above, I made for a gift for a friend at work, I love basic grey papers and stickers, etc.

I love this one even if I do say it myself... it's cute. You've gotta love anything from the Penny Black stamp range they do cute so well.

My works of art

Done a bit of crafting this morning and took some pics of some of my 'works of art'
My Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter book I'm very proud of, I should send it to someone as a gift but I don't want to part with it now. It looks pretty on my shelf above my desk. I've made my hubby's birthday card and one for one of my team at work, still need to make another for a belated birthday I missed at the weekend. But it's craft on QVC at 2 pm so I might watch that depends who's on and what they're selling?
Time to go and check and see what's on at the pictures tonight he's taking me out.
My nice tidy craft room.... but not for long me thinks!!!
I painted my craftroom whilst on a weeks holiday last week long overdue, my hatred of DIY is quite huge maybe cos I work for a large DIY retailer (no names as not to offend the innocent!!)
My dream job would be a little craft shop with tea room attached where i could sit and craft my little heart out all day and get paid for it how heavenly that would be. Well maybe one day you never know, better start doing the lottery giving me a fighting chance of rising the capital!

Now I'm off to make this perfectly tidy space into a very untidy one, maybe some Mother's day cards to sell at work or some more jewellery to sell or wear. I actually better make a card for my lovely hubby who's birthday is next week, oh no I hate men's cards always so differcult. I'll just have to be a loved up one then?

My very first post!
Well this is a first for me, thought i'd try and set up a blog. My life is really not the most interesting in the world but it may just be a little bit of fun!
Today is Valentines day, one of the most commerical days that I know of except Christmas. I've been married for nearly 20 years so doing the really soft fluffy stuff is a bit not like me or my hubby but it would be nice to be surprised maybe!!?
Anyway if he reads this then I'd just like to say you are my world and mean everything to me. I love you xxxxxxx
