Happy new year to all my blogging friends hope you have a great evening and enjoy your start to the new year. Never my favourite time I'm afraid, lost a Granparent on new years eve back in the late 80's and it never has seemed to have the same appeal since some how?
Not been feeling too well today so no crafting to show even though I have some new goodies to play with. Hopefully be back to normal soon, so see you in 2010, have a good one for me I'm off to bed early got to work tomorrow boo hoo!

Calendar for 2010 and DT call for Creative Card Crew

I hope you all had a fab Christmas day, and are enjoying vegging out in front of the telly for your boxing day or whatever you do on this day? I've been left with the house to myself for a few hours whilst my daughter visits a friend and my husband visits the pub in the village where we used to live.
So I've finished my Calendar for 2010 which is a gift for my Mum, she's had a sneak preview to the unfinished item and was thrilled! I've made a video of it just to show it off in a bit of a different way. This is for a DT call with Creative Card Crew and the challenge is 'Anything goes' it's taken me ages but I've really enjoyed doing something a bit different from Christmas cards since I seem to have made enough to send to everyone in my town this year?
I've used so many papers and brads, flowers, sequins and ribbons all from my stash, but the images are mainly from Mo's Digital Pencil coloured with copics. I just love these images and so many remind me of my daughter when she was a little girl. Especially, check out September my daughter used to pick our then kitten up just like this and drag her around. The image on May page is so Asher as well with her purple coat with the white fur trim hood on her tricycle being little Miss independence just like she is today! I really hope you like it and it would be great to be considered for the DT.

I made it through the Christmas party!

Just a very quick update to let you know what all the fuss was about me having to be a my works Christmas party. Myself and another supervisor were given a nice bottle of bubbly by the Management team as a special thank you for our contribution to how well our store has done this year. So no P45 and my job's safe??!!! Off to work soon, nice and quiet for us usually this week, everyone is worrying about food shopping not DIY, so different from the food trade! Have a lovely Monday, only 3 sleeps til my little girls home for Christmas I can't wait to give her a big cuddle!!!!!

More pressies!

Here's a sneaky peak at what I've spent most of today doing (instead of the chores, naughty girly, Santa will have me on his naughty list for sure??!!!) I want to enter into a DT call but haven't quite finished it yet, maybe later on this evening so I can sneak off to my craft room for a while? It's a Calendar to give to my Mum for Christmas, I hope she likes it? I'll post all of it when I enter the challenge and DT Call.
It's my works Christmas party on Saturday night, deep deep joy, but have been told I must come as I need to be there (it's something good I'm told!) Don't know whether to be excited or worried? Can they hand out P45's at Christmas do's?

Order finished, presents made!

Well I've finished all my christmas card/gift wallet/diaries orders and all delivered. Can you believe I don't have enough Christmas cards to finish writing my work ones, need to make some more quick ones. Only have lots of pink and girly which I can't really give to some of the guys at work?!
I had a go at stamping onto my candles it's far from prefect but it looks OK so my friends will have put up with my first attempts and lets hope they like it? I've really enjoyed making my own gifts this year it's saved me money well sort of and there's far more pleasure doing this way than endless hours around the shops in crowds of people.

Here's my Neighbours order completed!

Nearly completed the order now!

Here's the bits I've made for the order for my next door neighbours mum. The top photo is gift card wallets (one more to make yet, was lossing the will to live by the time I'd finished doing all these) The Christmas cards are a penny black stamp I've had for several years and comes out every year cos it's just so cute. Now just got to cover a couple more diaries and I'm done for the orders. Just got to make up some more presents, bought some nice round baskets in the body shop outlet store in Street today so I can make up my candle/pot pourri combo. Have a good Saturday evening we're off to your friends for some drinks and nibbles later on, should be fun!

The decorations are up.. . 14 sleeps to go!

Well the decorations are up and it's only 14 sleeps til the big day! Wish I was as excited about it has some of my team at work, who tell me and sing to me how many sleeps til Christmas ever day! (Thank you Heart radio for that!) It's not that I'm a grumpy old bugger but once the Christmas music starts on the piped radio at work you know it's getting ever closer and still I'm no way near ready for it! I'm still trying to finish orders for Christmas cards and gifts but have had very little time to share because of work, so busy, recession what recession? Tell that to the what felt like millions of people who were buying Christmas and lights etc last weekend!
The one thing I'm really looking forward to is seeing my daughter, she's not home until Christmas eve but I can't wait to spend some time with her. Miss her soooo much it hurts!

Here's my Christmas tree, can't get a decent christmassy glowy type photo no matter how hard I try! Need to get the book out for my camera and have a bit more of a play me thinks?

Anyway the christmas card making continues still have to make a load for work, everyone knows I make cards so can't get away with giving bought ones.

Here's some pics of the latest round of quick makes to give to my work mates!

Can't believe I haven't posted in nearly a week!!!

Thought I'd put some piccies up of what I've been making. More jewellery to give as gifts this Crimbo!

Still got to use the bits and bobs I bought last week but have got lots of inspiration from the good old internet to jazz up some otherwise boring stuff. I'm day off today so am going to put up the Christmas tree and the rest of the decorations, Only the lights up in the front window at the moment, so need to make it feel a bit more Christmassy yet!
Managed to sell a few more Christmas cards last night to my lovely next door neighbour and her Mum, and have an order for some cards, gift card wallets and my covered Diaries. (Nearly lost the diaries which I'd already made for gifts as I'd left them on the table, but it got me another sale!)

Here's the other two Diaries (Yummy scrummy papers from My minds eye)

Here's the chocolate bars I rewrapped to give as gifts (Managed not to eat it, bloody miracle!)
More My Minds eye papers.

Lots of challenges in one post.

I haven't used a Magnolia stamp in ages so I thought I'd combined these two challenges to use this lovely stamp. The sketch is this weeks Just Magnolia challenge and A spoon full of sugar asks you to use Non traditional Christmas colours (No red or Green) I've used Basic grey Eskimo kisses papers with some glitter and mirror card and die cut some snowflakes. The sentiment is from a popcorn bear set but fits and makes the image more christmassy.

The next project is for Totally Gorguss challenge which is 'Not a card' so having gone a done a little Christmas shopping this morning I bagged some bargins to change into yummy pressie for friends and family. So out of this lot below I'm going to make something that looks like I've spent a fortune when I haven't! ( I hope, well that's the plan anyway?)

I bought some cheap as chips Diaries from Asda and have covered them with some pretty shimmery paper and added a Gorguss image and some beads, ribbon and a charm. Hope they all like their pressies come Christmas day?

Now last but not least one for Saturday challenge over at Secret crafter, this weeks it's Christmas trees, the tree image is a digi one from All that scraps coloured copics and the Santa is from Whiff of Joy. The papers are from Doodlebug with some added mirror cardstock and a bit of glitter just because!

1 for 3 challenges

This one is for 3 Challenges, it was going to be 4 but I missed the deadline on for All that Scraps sketch challenge this week. So this is for Cupcake crafts red & green, Allsorts, buttons and Cute Card Thursday, Snips, snails & Puppy dog tails ( card for a younger boy) I've used Doodlebug papers from a couple Christmasses ago with buttons, sequins, brads and cardstock stickers all also from doodlebug. The image is from All that scraps December digi's coloured with copics and sakura graze and stardust pens then sprinkled with glitter whilst still wet. You can't see the glitter that well in the picture but it's there!

I'm off out with my parents to do a little Christmas shopping later on, deep joy, hate it, not my parents just the Christmas shopping bit! Have a wicked Wednesday xxx
