WARNING!
THIS IS A VERY LONG POST

I can't believe I have'nt posted anything since tuesday where did the week go? I'm on holiday this week so lots of nice things planned for the week ahead.
Saturday and Sunday: at home crafting/chilling/relaxing and maybe some (sorry) housework!! Yuk!!!!
Monday: spend the day with my parents, if the weathers ok we're going to go to Stourhead National trust gardens to see the autumn colours. I took some great photo's there last year, my old blog header was one of them. Also very important indeed speak to my little girl she's 21 today!
Tuesday: crafting day with my friend Lucy, very excited about this as we both love to craft and I'm looking forward to swapping some ideas
Wednesday: Going to see Ah-a in concert at the O2 arena in London, this should be a great day out. Went to see Kylie with the same friend last year and had a fab day. Not looking forward to all the travelling especially through London on the tube! I'm a country mouse and hate the big city, but you have to sometimes I suspose?
Thursday: SLEEP
Friday: Out for Lunch and lots of drinks with another friend
Saturday: Hungover I expect!
Sunday: Back to work POO!

Now on to the card, this is for DP" challenge #4 this week it's anything but a simple card. So I've made a spring card. The image is coloured with copics with a letraset rub-on for the sentiment. The flowers are cut out of the patterned paper and I've added a mat of mirror board. I've decorated the back of the card with more of the flowers.

I've also made a Christmas card and some tags with the new Pink Petticoat papers called 'Fairy lights' which I downloaded yesterday. The offer ends on these today so grab them quick cos they'll lush.

I love the modern twist on these papers it's so easy to make something different and easy.

Autumn colours

Look at the beautiful colours in the cherry tree at the bottom of my garden aren't they just stunning? The £25 or so we paid for this little tree 5 years ago was worth every single penny it gives me pleasure every single day with the changes of the seasons. Pity the rest of my garden is looking a bit poo at the moment, hence the close of the tree so you can't see the rest!

I've made my daughter 21st birthday card today and here's a sneaky peak, don't want to put the whole thing on here in case she looks at my blog (unlikely but you never know?) I'll put a full piccy on when she's received it next week sometime. I'm so sad that we can't be with her on her birthday as she's away at Uni in Nottingham, boo hoo! Never mind she may be home soon for a visit fingers crossed.

Popcorn bear Christmassy and fuzzy!

Doesn't this little Popcorn bear image cuddling his blanket with his little duck friend make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Ahhh! I've just bought the set of Popcorn bear Christmas stamps and the a triple CD of papers and stuff from Crafters Companion so except to see more soon. (Well at least after I buy a new cartridge for my printer cos it's run out!) In the meantime I'll use the stamps I've got loads of Christmas cards to make still so these should help. I'm on holiday next week can't wait for a break works been madness and It'll be good to switch off for awhile.
I've planned a crafting day at my house with my friend Lucy, which should be lots of fun, hopefully she'll bring some of her goodies with her so we can swap stuff and ideas.

Anyway the card above is for this weeks challenge at Allsorts 'Furry friends' should fit my thinks. The image is coloured with copics and then just very simply put on a spring card with some pink petticoat plain papers behind, which I've stamped with a snowflake. The snowflake embellishments are die cut with my big shot from some left over papers which had been sprayed with glimmer mists, with a pearl brad to hold them in place. I used one of the snowflake stamp again from the popcorn set to stamp onto mirror board which I've backed the inside of the card. The sentiment is from the same set.

RSVP card

We've been invited to a friends Silver wedding blessing at the end of November. What a lovely thing to celebrate 25 years of marriage by renewing their vows to one another. So any excuse to make a card so I've made this RSVP to say yes please we'd love to share your day.

I made some background paper by spraying it with Glimmer mists (not that much of it shows?) The stamps are from a set called 'words with flourishes' from Autumn leaves embossed with cosmic shimmer - marine sea lustre. The heart is a embossed with ultra thick embossing powder from image pac - silver lustre. All matted and layered on some mirror board.

Made a few more..

I've been on a Christmas card mission this afternoon, I should be making Birthday cards, one for my bestest friend in the world ever Jane and 2 for my daughter who turns 21 in less than 2 weeks time! (2 because I have to make one for my mum & dad to give as well)
I got side tracked which I'm very good at may I say, I also tidied up my craft room more because I couldn't find anything as it looked like a bombsite. Also I need to make an engagement card for one of my husbands work mates, party to go to on Saturday. The trouble with this hobby is people start to realise they like your cards better than the trash you can buy in the shops and ask you to make them for special occassions, not that I mind really but it's how do I fit these into the challenges which I love to do? I'm waffling sorry.

The cards above are Penny Black stamps from Holly days critters set coloured with copics with some glitter added from sparkle (Got to it's Christmas after all!) Blue and Pink papers are from Colour my world winter wonderland, love these bought 2 lots cos I use them so much. Red papers are Kars christmas pad. All matted onto mirror board (which came in post today, thank godness) I also used my scallop and circle punches and my oval nesties.

Summer card on a dreary day!

I've had to drive to just outside Southampton this morning but managed to get back in good time to fit in a bit of blogging and crafting. I'm glad when I set off this morning at 5am the weather was dry unlike now, I hate driving in the dark on roads I'm not used to, but driving in the dark and the wet is the worst!
So this spurred me on to brighten up my day with a sunny summer themed card! It's for 2 challenges 'A spoon full of sugar' which is the sketch used and 'Creative card crew' asked for a Baby or children's card and I think this fits the bill ok. The image is yet another beauty from Mo's Digital pencil coloured with copics. The papers are from my stash sorry can't remember what they're called. Buttons and ribbons again from my stash and yes a sinful peel off sticker but it fitted the bill just right!

I've had a change around!

It was time for a bit of a change. A new picture for my blog header and some new colours just to give it a bit of a spring clean. Please let me know what you think? I'm not sure yet, see if I can live and work with it for a while, hey?
My blog header is a picture of Lyme Regis seafront taken in January, it's was the coldest day but the light was amazing. It's got to be one of my favourite places to go in the winter. I hate going when it's really busy during the summer.

Now I do love this one!

I loved making this one, the image is from Mo's digital pencil a freebie I got through my Planet craft pages. It was a joy to colour as all of Mo's images are and a really cute twist on a christmas theme. This card is for Bizzy Becs Creatalicious challenge no 3 which is to use scraps and make your own flowers! Well the scrap is the rest of a 12 x12 piece of My Minds eye wonderful winter glittered paper and the punched out snowflakes from my border punch. I'm not sure whether the snowflakes will count as they are made with a sizzlet snowflake die, then attached with a brad.
Well I've off to work in a bit another day at the grindstone after a nice relaxing weekend at home, I've got to drive to Southampton for a 2 hour meeting tomorrow, yes a 4 hours plus round trip for a 2 hour meeting, the joys of working for a big PLC!

Not sure I like this or not?

Now you know when you make something and it's just not quite right well this is one of them? It's for 2 challenges, copic colour challenge to use the following colour G02 - spectrum green, BG05 - Holiday blue and R27 - Cadmium red or the closest you own. I've got 2 R27 cos I'm an idiot and even when I took my colour chart still picked up another, D'oh! Anyhoo, I've used G00 - Jade green and B02 -Robin egg blue instead pretty darn close me thinks. The other challenge was from Secret crafters saturday challenge to 'Dig Deep' and use an old stamp. So the stamp its from a Panduro Tilda set I've had for ages which I've never really used that much. I sprayed the background cardstock with Glimmer mists, Iridescent gold, starfish and Glitz spritz desert moon endless sky and then punch out some scalloped circles of Kars christmas paper and glitter cardstock. Both cards started out just like that but you know how card buckles when it's been made wet and even after leaving under something heavy overnight they still looked poo so I backed them with some more cardstock and mounted them onto a basecard. They're ok but not my best.

Christmas list holder

I made this the other day and just wanted to share it with you all. I love these papers from My minds eye - wonderful winter glittered. And the template is a freebie on Papertrey inks site, which is a pain to master but worth the effort when it's completed.

A big Thank you for my new stamp

This card will be winging it's way to the ladies at A spoon full of sugar challenge to say thank you for sending my prize so quickly. Also it's for this weeks challenge too. I've used the cute Helz Cuppleditch stamp which I won, coloured with copics and some glitter pen. The paper is from My minds eye - wonderful winter glittered papers. The ribbon and buttons are from my stash.
So Thanks again to Debbie and Nikki at A spoon full of sugar for another great challenge and my lovely new stamp.

Two new challenge sites for this one.

I've had so much time to myself today it's scary so I've crafted tonnes. I spotted these two different challenge sites on the very talented Victoria blog (check out her creations they're wicked) First one is for Stamp something who's challenge is to use a bit of Bling! And next is for Crafty creations who asks to use Blue. So I've gone a bit Christmassy with my lovely Gorguss bumble bee stamp from Sugar nellie, she's coloured with copics and some sukara glitter pen. The papers are from a Kars Christmas selection pad and DCWV glitter cardstock both of which I've punched out a snowflake design down one side. The ribbon I bought at a craft fair ages ago and it's the first time I've used it. The little teardrop gems were a freebie from a magazine I bought.

DP2 Challenge

I bought this image a couple of weeks ago from Mo's digital pencil called 'the big one' how cute is it? I'm not really that into Halloween and all the trick and treat stuff but I've found a passion for the images which are for Halloweeny cards.
The challenge for this is to use Fall/Autumn colours and no more than 2 embellishments. I think I've done what's required. The papers are My minds eye Bloom & grow again and I've my tag dies for the embellishment, easy!

He's working, I'm crafting and blogging

Dave's out working helping a mate lay concrete on his driveway so I've got a little time at home alone to make some cards and post them for some challenges.. bliss! so here's what I've made for this weeks cute card thursday challenge, 'Spookfest'

I've used an image from Mo's digital pencil, just so yummy to colour with my copics. The papers are from My minds eye - Bloom & grow pad, with some DCWV glitter cardstock. The tags are ellison design dies cut with my big shot. Ribbon from my stash and the sentiment is stamped with a 99p alphabet set!

Anyone for Anya challenge

I hope this counts at Paper piecing? I used a little roller tool I've had for ages as I don't own a piecing tool. I just around the edges of the sentiment which is from craftwork cards. I've coloured the image with my beloved copics and highlighted the bows with a sukara glitter pen. The papers are from My minds eye. The ribbon is from my stash and so is the ribbon slider.

Now the Christmas cards are beginning to roll off the production line, this challenge just called for a winter image and some new My minds eye glittery papers. I've coloured with copics and added a little glitter glue for sparkle. The ribbon and snowflake brads are from my stash.

I won my first ever challenge.....Yippee!

I'm so excited I won my first ever challenge at 'A spoon full of sugar'. It was for my first ever Halloween card. Looking forward to receiving my new stamp to play with.

More cute images

I'm not very good at male themed cards but this one was so easy. Yet another freebie image from Mo's digital pencil via her pages on Planet craft so sign up and check it out. The papers are from crate paper 'Samantha collection'. The button were a gift from my mum bought back from a recent holiday.

Oriental inspirations

This card is for Sketch and stash, the image is a freebie for Mo's digital pencil via her page on Planet craft so sign up and check it out. The papers are from DCWV ar east mat stack, the flowers are die cut with a big shot die and the plain pink paper is sprayed with Glitz shimmer spray - desert moon gecko green and sunset pink. The image is coloured with copics.

Just love this image..

This lovely image is from Mo's digital pencil and they are such a joy to colour. I'm so glad that talented people like Mo want to share their work with the world. So I've made another christmas card to add to the collection, I've used some new papers from my local craft store by Kars, quite traditional but suit this style of image so well. She been coloured with copics and a bit of stickles glitter glue to add some sparkle. It's a simple card but I like it.

Pumpkins and colouring in!

I've found another challenge site, yippee something different! What a cool challenge to colour pumpkins! I've used this great and very cute image from Mo's digital pencil. I've used the following colours of copics.

E21 Baby skin pink
E31 Brick beige
E50 Egg shell
R00 Pinkish white
R02 flesh
RV10 Pale pink
Y38 Honey
YR07 cadmium orange
G99 Olive
YG63 Pea green
W-7 Warm grey No 7

The papers are from My mind's eye and a odd bit of die cut swirl.

Had to make the little baby ginger as that's my husband hair colour and my favourite, even though he'd say he was strawberry blond!

Odd christmas colours

Now these colours are a bit strange to be making a christmas card from but what the hell, I'll give anything a go once! The sketch is for Mojo Monday challenge but I've muddled it up a bit so hope it still counts? The colours are from colour create challenge which is red, yellow, black and white. I'd printed off this great image from Mo's digital pencil the other day and thought let's try and make a crimbo card from these colours. The image is coloured with copics and matted onto some glitter cardstock. The paper is one from my stash as are the brads and ribbon.

I've had a busy day at work and this was the perfect way to relax, just love colouring in.

First ever Halloween card

This is for 4 challenges in one go, so here goes.
A spoon full of sugar #72 - Halloween
Papertake weekly #25 - The sketch
Creative card crew#31 - Celebration
DP2 #1 - Perple (Purple, pop to the site and all becomes clear!)

I got to use the great image from Mo's digital pencil called 'Punkin' which I've coloured with copics. On DP2 which is the brand new challenge blog from Mo herself, you had to use purple which is my very fav colour ever. Since a young child there has been some form of purple in my surroundings, at my last house at least 3 rooms had purple on the walls, even a dark purple in the hallway! I was made to cover that up when we wanted to sell the house and move, neutral all the way? Anyhoo back to the challenges, I didn't have any halloweeny papers so just went with a little bit of My minds eye orange paper. I cut the swirls with a big shot die then added some ribbon and gemstones to finish. The sentiment is stamped with an alphabet set I've had for ages and just inked around the edges.
Hope you like it, just had a bit of good news from a work collegue which as brighten up my day no end. So going to go and make some more cards and enjoy my day off.

Better make some Crimbo cards...

This is for a Spoon full of sugar challenge and this weeks it's Christmas! I downloaded this beautiful image from Mo's Digital pencil and coloured with copics. It's simply mounted on pearly cardstock. The ribbons are from my stash. I used a set of sizzlet big shot dies for the snowflakes and attached them with brads. I sprayed over the top of the image with some glimmer mist just to add a drop of bling.
